Tip No. 1 Do Something You Enjoy

Exercising doesn't mean spending hours in the gym pedaling an exercise bike. It also doesn't mean that you have to spend money on exercise equipment that you will probably never use. Anything you do to get your body moving is better than doing nothing. Walking is an easy exercise that you can do almost anywhere, in any weather. Biking, dancing, gardening, lifting weights, swimming, playing your favorite sport, cleaning the house, and even playing in the garden with your children are just some of the ways you can add exercise to your daily routine.

Tip No. 2 Schedule Time To Practice

Just like you would at a meeting or doctor's appointment, sometimes the only way to make time for exercise is to fit it into your daily schedule. We all have busy lives and are often so busy caring for others that we never seem to find time for ourselves. Once exercise becomes part of your daily to-do list, you are more likely to do it. Some people only have a certain amount of time during the day to exercise, while others will need to vary the time each day. Some people need a boost and for them exercising with a friend is a good solution. Choose the way that works best for you. Just remember to go do it!

Tip No. 3 Remember That Exercise Can Energize

Even if you feel too tired to exercise, try it anyway. You may be surprised to find the energy you feel as you do it and then when you are done. Exercise is also a great stress reliever, and if you know anything about stress, you know it's one of the body's greatest energy generators.

Tip No. 4 Don't Be Afraid To Confuse It

Like anything you do over and over, exercise can get mundane. When you get bored of exercising, you are less likely to keep doing it. In order not to get bored with your exercise routine, change it. If you are tired of walking, try pedaling. If you like to lift weights, try alternating it with cardio during the week. Go bowling or play tennis from time to time, and if you find that you enjoy these types of activities, join a team.

Tip No. 5 Always Start With A Warm-Up

Regardless of the type of exercise you choose, it is very important to start each session by warming up the muscles. Stretching helps prevent damage to muscle tissue and circulates blood. It also makes your heartbeat. It only takes five minutes to get your training off to a good start.
